Social, marriage & scams
The people around you in Lagos Life are real players, not NPCs. That makes the social side the best part of the game — and the most dangerous, because scams target newcomers. Here is how both work.
It's a real multiplayer city
You share one live Lagos with thousands of other players. You can chat, build relationships and send money to each other with a real transfer system. The developer has also added weddings, babies and sibling ties, so you can build an actual family with other players. Around the city there are social spots — nightclubs like Quilox, churches and mosques, a casino, and even a Polling Unit where you can vote.
Still verifying the how-to
Exactly how to get married, what it costs, and the step-by-step for player-to-player transfers aren't documented reliably anywhere yet. We are working through these systems in-game and will add proper walkthroughs — another gap no other guide covers.
How to not get scammed
The golden rule makes every scam obvious: the in-game naira cannot be cashed out for real money. So any offer involving real money or "free" naira is a trick.
Assume these are all scams
- Anyone offering to double your naira if you send some first.
- Anyone offering to buy your in-game naira with real cash.
- Anyone selling accounts — and note that multiple accounts break the rules anyway.
- Any login link sent in chat. Never click it — type lagoslife.app yourself.
- The fake $LAGOSLIFE crypto token — it is not from the developer.
Keep your account safe: choose a security answer nobody can guess, don't broadcast your username, and never log in through a link someone sends you. The game's rules also ban harassment, threats, hate speech and sexual content — report, don't engage.
