Three cities, different jobs
Lagos Life isn't only Lagos — it runs in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt. Your character lives in one city, and jobs tagged to the other cities only appear once you are there. Lagos has the tech, banking and entertainment careers above; Abuja 🏛️ adds roles like Keke Riding, Wuse Market Trading and Mai Shayi, while Port Harcourt 🌊 adds Oil & Gas, Ferry Work, Bole & Fish and dockside security. Same systems, different flavour.
Best-paying job with no skill gate
If you want pay fast without grinding a skill first, Refining — Operator Trainee at the Lagos Oil Refinery starts at ₦12,200/shift with no requirement. It is the strongest opening pick for a Lapo start.
How promotions work
Each of the 33 careers has 5 levels, for 165 roles in total. Climbing a level needs two things: the career's skill at the right level and 100% work performance. Fan-guides list the skill gates as roughly level 1 / 3 / 5 / 7 for L2–L5, with performance resetting to about 45% after each promotion — we are verifying the upper-level pay in-game.
Hit your targets for a bonus
Winning all four shift tasks is reported to add about +15% to that shift, and UNILAG graduates can earn up to +25% per shift. We're confirming the exact figures.
Tax
Fan-guides describe a weekly tax that resets every Monday: earnings up to ₦1,000,000 are untaxed, then roughly 20% above ₦1M, 40% above ₦10M and 45% above ₦50M. Treat these as unverified for now — we are checking them in the live game.
